The Client

LEIA is a not for profit organization. It provides expert support to all its members and promotes lift and escalator safety.

The Objectives

The main objective was to delight and educate families in the UK. Targeting children under the age of five, the campaign was required to increase safety in and around lifts, while also targeting educators in the under-fives sector. Using social media, the idea was to create an online conversation increasing awareness and maximizing the distribution for the free book and height chart. All work had to meet the approval of the LEIA members and lift suppliers, and be ready for the launch at LIFTEX – late May 2016.

We did

bandv produced a stunningly successful campaign for LEIA, in time for the launch at LIFTEX, May 2016. Using our in-house illustrator, we created a loveable character named Liam, who absolutely ‘Loves Lifts’. We also created a nursery rhyme, to the tune of ‘Wheels on the Bus’ which proved to be very popular amongst the children.

The result

Utilizing social media as a tool, we were able to send out over 9000 free book and height charts (this included a 2nd requested reprint). Not to mention, we reached out to over 1.5m people and received great feedback amongst our many happy customers. Free versions are now available online to download, and talk of a second campaign maybe in the making – watch this space!
