There are often times when the things you enjoy and are passionate about outside of work cross over into your day in the office. It was on one of these occassions when I came across a tweet about Kenny the Staffie cross who had been in the Blue Cross' rehoming centre in Burford for over 13 months.
I absolutely love dogs! I have one of my own - a crazy, very energetic Springer Spaniel called Pepper and I wouldn't be without her. And I have to admit I'm one of those who also blubs watching Paul O'Grady's 'For the Love of Dogs'.
So my heart melted when I read the full story of the very handsome Kenny; especially when it was said that more than 2,400 other dogs had left the charity's 12 rehoming centres with new families in the 13 months Kenny had been in the centre.
Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to take on another dog but I thought I'd share his plight with others that might. Our PR Director Angela, also a dog lover, knew her contact David Broadfield from Linked2Media had recently lost his own dog so Kenny's appeal was sent on.
Well, we are so pleased that as a result Kenny now has a wonderful new home with the loving and adoring Broadfield family. Just watch the short film - it's briliant when good things happen to deserving woofers!
Anglea even received this thank you from David;
"Kenny says thank you, by the way. I bet that he'd have still been at the kennels if you hadn't sent that link to me, so thanks from me as well! Everybody absolutely loves him here."
