The campaign ran from last September to January this year and was produced on behalf of the Lift & Escalator Industry Association (LEIA) to raise awareness of the dangers of escalator safety to children and their families.
The ‘Liam Loves Escalators’ campaign developed by bandv included a fun free and educational storybook and colouring poster for young children to enjoy and learn from, thanks to a series of key safety rules and a catchy poem to help the children remember them.
The story book was written by bandv’s PR Account Director Angela Breckenridge while Graphic Designer Sally Berkeley illustrated the children’s book and colouring poster. bandv’s PR Account Manager Nicole Prema promoted the new book and safety campaign including press activity, social media promotion and advertising.
The campaign was hugely successful and even included an on-pack promotion with National publication ‘Mother & Baby’ magazine which resulted in almost 20,000 copies of the storybook and poster being distributed to the target audience.
This is now the third award that the ‘Liam Loves Escalators’ children’s safety campaign has been shortlisted for. The campaign was also shortlisted in this year’s UK Content Awards and it recently scooped the ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ award in the Trade Association Best Practice Awards.
The South of England and Channel Islands PRide Awards ceremony will take place on Friday 30 November at the Bristol Marriott Hotel..
