Everything and anything to do with running a successful design agency that’s been going for over 27 years.

What else I do when I’m not doing that:
Running any company takes up a lot of time and  I don’t seem to spend much of it away from the office...! On the odd occasion I do,
weekends away in the West Country are a popular choice. Walking the dog, a good pub and decent restaurants are usually pretty high on the agenda.

What I do:
Keep the clients happy! Keep the staff happy! Keep the boss happy! How? By delivering PR, copywriting and advertising services to support our clients and my colleagues too.  My training as a graphic designer and photographer certainly contributes to the creative core of our business and I'm not afraid to give my opinion...

What else I do when I’m not doing that:
A bit of yoga, a lot of socialising and …keeping the boss happy!  Writing poems is a vice and photography is a love - especially when walking with or without the dog. Supporting The Saints may be viewed as another vice but it's in the family!

Ross Breckenridge
Business Development Manager

What I do:
Make websites work harder and smarter. SEO, PPC. Everything to do with Search Engine Marketing and website performance. I also have experience in recording, editing and presenting video and audio for the web.

What else I do when I’m not doing that:
Music and sport are my 2 loves, so if  I’m not playing football or tennis, I’ll be at a gig or festival.

Phil Le Cheminant
Web Developer

What I do:
Web developer, video production, multimedia producer. If it’s on a computer or online, I’m your man.

What else I do when I’m not doing that:
I’m a busy musician, both on the stage and in the studio – producing, recording and engineering. I am considered by friends to be someone with many fingers in many pies. My defence? I like pies.

According to my web history, Facebook. Yikes. StumbleUpon is good for discovering new stuff on t'interweb.

Jenny Wilson
Senior Designer

What I do:
Anything and everything on the design front that helps deliver a great service to our clients – who think we’re always ‘friendly, helpful, creative and really quick to respond’.  We have lovely clients!

What else I do when I’m not doing that:
Creating hand-marbled paper (absolutely passionate about this – love it, love it, love it!). Also learning how to teach design in the lifelong learning sector – more complicated than you could ever imagine.

Helen Berners
PR/copywriter

What I do:
Whatever you want to promote, I come up with the words that will attract, inform, persuade and provoke the required response.  For any type of media from traditional print to webworld with its SEO-rich writing geared to help push your website up the search engine rankings.

What else I do when I’m not doing that:
Enjoying a private life!

Favourite website:
Having long foregone TV ownership (yes, this is a viable way of living), I have been known to frequent the BBC’s iPlayer for the odd film – wasn’t the recent Werner Herzog run marvellous?

Jayne West
Production Manager

What I do:
Artwork and print quotes,  PR and advertising space bookings and liaison between us, our clients and our suppliers. Keeping it all logged and in good order – I’m very organized and methodical!

What else I do when I’m not doing that:
Walking and playing with my son and 2 dogs, playing clarinet in a wind band, driving up and down the M1 to see friends and family.

Emma Appleton
Administration Manager

What I do:
I’m B&V’s Administration Manager, which means I get involved in all the things that keep the office running smoothly (and there are plenty of them!).  I also carry out telemarketing campaigns for clients, contact new and old clients and arrange networking events.

What else I do when I’m not doing that:
Running around looking after my 3 boys! I’m also taking a 2 year NVQ in hairdressing – interesting and more involved than you’d think! And I love going out with my girlfriends too.

Diarmid Langley
Senior Designer

What I do:
Basically the same as Jen’s bit, so she’s saved me having to waffle on too much.  All aspects of design, including web design and creating sites that not only look great but function brilliantly, so that people can actually USE them!

What else I do when I’m not doing that:
Seem to spend a LOT of time ferrying my two daughters around! Love going off camping with the family and also play badminton & swim in a (vain) effort to keep in shape! I have a passion for 60s & 70s design and architecture and just love rooting around to find that special bit of furniture for our original 60s house.

The Real Boss

What I do:
Run around a lot and bark.  Let my humans know I’m in need of a dog treat – they tend to forget!

What else I do when I’m not doing that:
Bark a bit more. Lay down in front of the fire, sleep under the desk or get Helen to scratch my tummy with a ruler.
